Performance Considerations
The default Archer configuration provides optimal performance for most organizations. However, deployment, user, and administration factors can influence overall performance over time. Regular maintenance ensures continued and reliable performance of your Archer environment.
There are 2 approaches to performance maintenance:
- Preventative maintenance routinely verifies proper set up of your overall Archer environment, to ensure it meets the baseline configuration requirements.
- Corrective maintenance targets the specific source of an unexpected performance issue, and makes the appropriate changes to reduce or eliminate that effect.
Note: System administrators responsible for Archer performance maintenance must have knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Services, Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Servers, and have appropriate permissions to the infrastructure.
The following topics in this section provide a high-level overview of factors that impact Archer system performance, and suggestions for making adjustments to get better performance from your Archer environment.
